Ministries

The Audio/Media Ministry is committed to making sure that all technical audio and visual aspects of worship services are of the best quality. In addition, church services and events are shared on social media via FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram.

 

The Christian Education Instructors’ Ministry trains members to instruct others in their spiritual development, assisting them to grow in knowledge and truth in understanding of God’s Holy Word. Instructors will be trained to teach the curriculum for Sunday School, Vacation Bible Study School and New Members’ Classes.

 

The Church Beautification Ministry designs, selects and installs decorations for all areas of the church building on an ongoing basis as well as for special services, holidays and events. The goal of this ministry is to provide a living space that is both comforting and welcoming to members, guests and visitors.

 

The Courtesy Guild recognizes and presents all visitors each Sunday during the Fellowship Time of morning service.

 

The Culinary Ministry is composed of teams of committed individuals who have been called to utilize their gifts to serve others via food preparation. Their work includes fellowship meals, repast meals after funerals of members, as well as routine maintenance o the church kitchen.

 

The Dance Ministry, Ordered Steps, ministers the gospel through dance for select church programs and in the community. There are no age limits.

 

The Marshall Flowers Nurses Ministry tends to the disabled and provides comforting assistance to members and visitors during spirit-filled moments and/or times of grief during worship services. In addition, they tend to the needs of the Pastor and other clergy when necessary.

 

The Music Ministry serves the purpose of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through songs of worship and praise providing an avenue through which members can utilize their musical talents and abilities as an integral part of the worship experience. Mount Hebron has two Music Ministries:

  • The Voices, composed of men, women and youth, serve on the first, third and fifth Sunday’s of each month.

  • The Male Chorus, composed of all males, no age limits, serves on the second and fourth Sunday’s of each month.

 

The Progressive Society sponsors and raises funds for the church Scholarship Fund. Mount Hebron graduates from kindergarten, middle and high school are awarded monetary gifts to assist with their next level of education. College freshman are supported throughout their first year of college and at graduation.

 

The Senior Ministry is designed to meet the needs of church senior citizens, ages 60 and above, by offering fellowship and spiritual growth via participation in Bible Study, field trips and other recreational activities that reduce isolation and foster healthy, meaningful, life styles.

 

The Senior Missionary Ministry, an outreach ministry, is committed to feeding and clothing those in need within the church family as well as for the community. For this reason the ministry operates a Food Pantry every third Saturday.

 

The Transportation Ministry endeavors to supply reliable and safe transportation for church members to and from worship services and other church related functions as needed, utilizing the church van.

 

The United Hands for God Ministry, an outreach ministry, focus on helping others. To this end, they support the House of Ruth as well as select Nursing Homes in the community with gifts of basic care items.

 

The Ushers Ministry greets members and visitors at the door of the sanctuary and assists them in finding seats. They control the traffic flow in/out of the sanctuary and support pastoral staff during the course of services by distributing the church bulletins and offering envelopes, directing/marching the congregation and choirs during offering. Mount Hebron has three Usher Ministries.

  • Senior Ushers, ages 35 and above, serve on the second and fourth Sunday’s of each month.

  • Youth and Young Adult Ushers, Ages 4-35, serve on the third and fifth Sunday’s of each month.

  • Willie Lee Ushers, ages 35 and above, serve for Communion on the first Sunday of each month.

 

The Willing Workers Ministry supports the youth of the church and raises funds to support their endeavors.

 

The Youth and Young Adult Ministry serves members 0 to 35 years of age and gives them a platform to be involved and discuss relevant issues while establishing themselves within adulthood. The goal is to mentor youth and young adults and provide biblical solutions to their real-world experiences.
